Common Materials
Common materials used in this field are lightweight plastics and composites along with honeycomb. Military Applications
DMS 3 and 5-axis CNC routers and machining centers are used in military applications and government manufacturing to create three-dimensional digital surface models (DSMs) and digital terrain models (DTMs) for use in 3D visualizations and 3D flight planning and simulations, to manufacture replacement parts in Mobile Parts Hospitals (MPHs), in order to keep ships, ground vehicles, aircraft and machinery ready for action, among other things.
