MachineThe DMS Freedom machine is an industrial-quality 3-axis 4′ x 8′ moving gantry CNC router with 12″ of Z-axis travel and is capable of maximum rapid feed rates of 1,200 inches per minute. Machine ConstructionDMS Freedom machines are constructed of a rigid, fabricated steel base, utilizing heavy gauge steel tube and plate weldment construction throughout. All structural members are stress relieved for maximum stability, and all surfaces that mount precision components are precision ground and/or machined. SpindleCustomers may choose from several industrial quality spindle options including wrench style collet spindles and push-button automatic tool change spindles. X-AxisThe X-axis is the bridge axis and moves left to right. The heavy duty bridge will span the 48inch dimension. Actual stroke is 49 inches. Maximum feed rate is 800 inches per minute. Bridge rails are 25 mm profiled ways with recirculating ball bearings. The X-axis is driven by a 25mm recirculating ball screw assembly. The ball screw spins and is supported on each end by angular contact bearings. Y-AxisThe Y-axis is the gantry axis and moves front to back. The gantry spans the 48 inch left-to-right table dimension, and travels the 96 inch front-to-back table dimension. The total stroke is 97 inches. Maximum feed rate is 800 inches per minute. The table rails are 25 mm profiled ways with recirculating ball bearings. The Y-axis is driven by a 32mm recirculating ball screw assembly. The ball screw spins and is supported on each end by angular contact bearings. Z-AxisThe Z-axis is ball screw driven and supported by air cylinder counter balances. |

Dust collection is not required for all machines. Client may choose to purchase a dust collector and/or piping system as an option. Installation & Basic Operator TrainingDMS Freedom machine set-ups are performed at the customer site by DMS certified technicians. New customers must select from one of three available Machine installation options. Installation & Training Option 1: One (1) day of installation and two (2) days of basic operator training at the customer’s facility, for a total of three (3) consecutive days.
