Fagor Model 8070M CNC Control System

  For the most demanding 5 Axis performance and accuracy requirements, DMS offers the optional Fagor 8070M CNC Controller. The controller is a high performance, industrial PC based platform with integrated PLC. The 8070 is designed for machining high speed, accurate 5 axis tool paths and contours with block processing speeds lower than 1 ms with 200 block look ahead. The Model 8070 also features programmable filters for all axes that can be individually tuned to cancel out oscillations due to the machine’s natural structural frequencies and prevent them from negatively affecting machining operations and ultimate cut quality or accuracy. The controller is fully compatible with all popular 5 axis CAD/CAM post-processor NC output files. Programming tools featured with the Model 8070 include ISO G & M code, conventional canned cycles, high-level instructions, parametric assignments and multi-level subroutine capability. Just a few of the main features of the Model 8070 CNC include: High-Speed Machining (HSC) High-speed algorithms optimize machining by obtaining higher cutting speed, smoother contours, better part surface finish, greater accuracy and better reproduction of the programmed tool path. HSC command features a user-programmable error tolerance variable. 5-Axis Tool Length Compensation and Machining (RTCP) The RTCP (Rotation Tool Center Point) function improves part finish by making the tooltip follow the programmed profile regardless of the length and orientation of the tool. Using RTCP, a profile may be machined maintaining the tool perpendicular to the tool path at all times.
