Christmas has come and gone, and we’ve rung in the new year with that familiar mix of exhaustion and hope. The year’s biggest celebrations are behind us—or so we thought. At Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), we’re breaking out the balloons and confetti for one more hurrah.
We are proud to announce that in December, Diversified Machine Systems set a new production record!
The previous record was set way back in 2016, and the odds were against our beating it any time soon. For starters, December is a difficult month for manufacturing, with a shorter production window and sporadic downtime through the holidays. On top of that, COVID-19 restrictions have a way of slowing down production and adding friction to everyday tasks.
In the face of these challenges, our DMS team went above and beyond to overcome every obstacle. Facing tight deadlines, we manufactured at breakneck speed to make sure we delivered every machine on time—without sacrificing quality. We made some big promises, and we were committed to fulfilling them.
Against all odds, we did it! We completed 20 machines in a single month, beating the 2016 record by 15 percent. We’re incredibly proud of each team member who made it happen, and we’re thankful to all our friends (including you!) who continue to support our endeavors.

We see our win as a win for everyone, as companies around the nation use DMS machines to drive our economy to recovery. By quickly implementing strict social distancing and safety measures in our local headquarters, we have kept our manufacturing facility operating daily and avoided closures. For us, this record-breaking month affirms if companies follow guidelines and take care of their employees, they can still achieve the highest levels of excellence.
For many years, Diversified Machine Systems has produced industry-leading, 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines. We’re proud to manufacture in the USA, from our home base in Colorado Springs, CO. The machines we completed this December will go on to power manufacturing in aerospace, medical, and advanced material manufacturing sectors. We produced more machines than ever this December, and we can’t wait to see what our friends do with them.
After a hard year, it’s important to set our sights on the future. Over the last several weeks DMS has ramped up production to meet tight deadlines, and there is no sign of slowing down. In fact, we aim to increase output, continuing to support jobs and produce American-made machinery. We’re not done yet.
If we’ve learned anything this past year, it’s that essential workers are the lifeblood of this nation. The things you make are important. In fact, they’re essential. So as we look to the future, let’s set our sights on even greater achievements—together.
